What we collect
Clear Digest has no forms, accounts, comments or newsletter sign-ups, and the publisher does not ask you for your name, email address, phone number or any other personal details. The site runs no analytics and no advertising or tracking tools.
Server logs
Like any website, the servers that host Clear Digest receive basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser type. This is processed by the hosting provider to deliver the site and keep it secure, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Logs are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
Fonts and scripts from other hosts
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and scripts from cdn.tailwindcss.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net. Your browser contacts those hosts directly, so they receive your IP address and standard request details under their own privacy terms. The publisher does not receive that data.
Links to a provider
When you follow a link to a provider's website, you leave Clear Digest. The address of the link contains campaign identifiers so that the provider can recognise that you came from this article. Anything you then enter on the provider's site is collected by the provider, which is responsible for it under its own privacy notice. The publisher does not receive your sign-up details.
Your rights
Where data protection law applies, you have the right to ask whether we hold personal data about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to complain to the supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
